Video: How to Plant Tomatoes

• Tomatoes are warm-season crops. Plant after last frost in soft, fertile soil.
• Water plant in peat pot.
• Dig a hole almost as tall as the plant. Tomatoes should be planted deep.
• Remove lower leaves of plant.
• Cut label off pot and recycle plastic.
• Peel off rim and bottom half of pot, and compost or bury pot pieces.
• Bury 2/3 of the plant. Fill the hole. Only the top of the plant will show.
• Water and fertilize.
