Video: How to Plant Tomatoes
Tomatoes are warm-season crops. Plant after last frost in soft, fertile soil.
Water plant in biodegradable pot.
Dig a hole almost as tall as the plant. Tomatoes should be planted deep.
Remove lower leaves of plant.
Cut label off pot and recycle plastic.
Peel off rim and bottom half of pot, and compost or bury pot pieces.
Bury 2/3 of the plant. Fill the hole. Only the top of the plant will show.
Water and fertilize.
