Megan’s Gold lantana is a lovely subdued yellow color that is not too bright and not too light. One of the most heat-tolerant and forgiving summer annuals, lantana can be a perennial in zones 8 or warmer. Also a great candidate in coastal areas, where the salt spray and sun are harsh. Plant after all danger of frost is passed.
Plant Spacing: 12 to 18 inches.
Secrets to Success »
These plants are not picky about the soil, can withstand the heat and sun, and rise to the occasion during tougher droughts. In fact, consider a light snipping occasionally if you want to control their size.
Plant wherever you’d like to attract butterflies and display clusters of color: containers, hanging baskets, patio pots, landscape beds, or by the mailbox.
